What We Believe
Our Statement Of Faith
There is one God, eternally existent in three Persons: FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT and that He created everything out of nothing for His own pleasure and purpose.
That Jesus was begotten of the Father through the Holy Spirit, was born of the virgin Mary, and is true man without ceasing to be God. He lived a completely sinless life, died in an atoning death for sin, was crucified for our sins and physically rose from the dead three days later. He ascended to the right hand of the Father where He intercedes as High Priest and Advocate on behalf of all who believe in Him.
That we are saved by grace through faith. There is nothing that we can do to earn our salvation. The price of salvation has already been paid by the blood of Jesus shed on the cross of Calvary. Our sins are forgiven because of our faith in the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us. There is no other way that a person can enter the kingdom of heaven but through Jesus.
That Jesus will personally and visibly return again to earth for His church. The church being the Body of Christ, united in the Holy Spirit, consisting of those who have received Jesus Christ as Savior. A local church is an organized assembly of believers united for the purpose of carrying out the Great Commission of Christ. We believe in the observance of water baptism by immersion for believers only, and the Lord’s Supper.
That the Bible is the divinely inspired, infallible Word of God, relevant to all ages, having authority for all people at all times. It is in its entirety the sole authority for all matters of Christian belief and practice.
We believe in the literal existence of heaven and hell. Both are real places. Hell is prepared for those who reject the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. Believers will spend eternity in heaven.
